Hmm.. Where to start...
I think it would be better to start from the day 1 of engineering.. Ya you got me right am talking about most respected course.. particularly in "India"..
Being a typical south Indian guy i always dreamed about becoming an engineer or probably the society around me gave no other opportunity to think about any other fields of degree..!! But whatever is it i was always excited of becoming an engineer that to specifically a software engineer..
After going through all those corporate grinding machines which are so called as "intermediate colleges".. I did made it up to a a well established engineering college.. Which promised me and my parents a bright career to me..So the wait was completed i entered into my engineering life.
Day 1 at the college i felt like i had won some kind of award or something.. I was completely on cloud 9.Hoping for a friendship which should be carried throughout 4 years of my degree i did approach few my colleagues or so called fellow classmates.. Everyone was so excited as i am..It was a different feeling and i loved it.
As some of you might very well experienced the feeling of "freedom" you have now after coming out of the corporate intermediate colleges.. I was experiencing that FREEDOM!!..But i dint know that it would cost me a lot..
So the aced mics started and it dint took too much of time to make me realize that its not what i dreamed an engineering would.. Partially.. wait wait not partially completely the whole credit goes the university under which my college is established...
The mid exams started i did well.. which did followed by two more..along with a bunch of lab practicals etc etc..
So what ever the way it was i thought its better to accept and go on with the system..!! What ?? you think i should have tried to change it?? Don't you think i wouldn't if i could..
At last the term exams date came out.. My colleagues started their so called preparation which was kind of getting ready to fight a war to my imaginary mind.!!.. I was shocked when i did hear the so called "things to be kept in mind while answering to the questions in university term exams"
Which are as follows
1.Border the answer sheet four sides..
2.After every answer separate it from the next answer by drawing a bold horizontal line..
3,highlight the side headings as if that's only what you want to show..
4.And the regular one which is being a headache to students like me.. which is "NEAT HANDWRITING"
come one is it fair to judge out marks for students just based on their handwriting in an "university"??..No.. right??.. and any one (not all ) would expect that these are just assumptions and what you need is just a correct and perfect answer. So i did had the same feeling "PERFECT AND CORRECT ANSWER" gets the marks all the way.. And was hoping too.. because the hand writing i have would never score cent percent marks if judged on too..
All the exams completed completed.. Was eagerly waiting for my first results of engineering degree..
Results were out it was a havoc out there..I had a back log...yes i failed in an exam for the first time in my life!!!
I have no words to say.. many thoughts were just wandering in my mind.. i was sure i did answered the questions very well.. But what to do the thing i feared came out to be true..I was judged on mere presentation rather on the content.!!
Students papers were judged on the handwriting they presented and the number of pages they have written.. ya you heard me right..NO OF PAGES WRITTEN..I just felt W T F..
its okay i had cleared the backlog in a supplementary.. But i have one single question to ask the society
Is this the way to judge the standards of a engineer .??is this the way to build the standards of an university??
Backlog might be a small thing when you come to 3rd or 4 th year of engineering.. But i say its a serious blow to ones own self-confidence and self-esteem which might not be understandable to others...

what the fucking thing here in university is lecturers does not know what an engineer is they do define it formalize i....t and may typically understand the equations of a subjects ... which does of no practical use ... and finally they manufacture quality goods like A B C grades which are packed with percentages and MNC have no other choice and they pick up so called A quality goods

while c class goods are better by self employment and business

i dont think wat al u said is absolutely true... but yes, ppl believe of those points to score more marks(highlighting,borders,bold line after exam)... but truly if u check.. university lectuarers do c the content and are not soo linient... the added points like highl8ing,margins,line after answering a question and soo on..are the ones to make them feel we took interest in writing the paper and good handwriting makes it visible to the one who corrects.. it wud be easier for them..not that they give marks for such things... i hope u take my reply positively naveen :) ..

2.Punctuation marks to be taken care of.
3.If you want to go for a complete blog writing, avoid words like WTF.
4.and, it's "I Always Dreamt", not "I always dreamed" :)
